What a fab weekend!!
Got landed on by GFs parents – was good to see them. Had a nice lunch at the garden centre whilst purchasing the aforementioned plants for fishes. Threw my evening meal all over the kitchen floor and sulked on the PC ’til about 3AM…

Some people know of my titanic athletic prowess (perhaps a little poetic license there) – had a picnic at a local Abbey – in a balmy temperature of about 2°C – Brrrrrrr !!!!
Big long walk later we got back knackered

Nothing much happened this week – guess my premonition of a good week held reasonably true

Met a potential new client today – Hope I made a good showing, as I hate the first meeting, you never know how they will pan out. Personally I think it was good, but time will tell…

Time for some rock and roll lifestyle this week end – buying some plants for the fish we keep
(I really know how to live life on the edge huh? )

Nothing much to report today

Client had a Dell PC which ‘forgot’ it had a keyboard and mouse – makes it kind of hard to log on!
Luckily we have Remote control software installed. New drivers installed and, voila, ‘New Hardware Detected’ – Sometimes my heart overflows with joy – sigh

Why oh why do some software companies insist on holding clients to ransom?

Situation:
Client inadvertantly deletes a file from a website rendering his menu system inoperable. This menu system is a commercially available script bought and paid for.

Resolution?
Contact the developers and ask for the file right?
Wrong!!
Developers say that the use of the script is covered under the perpetual use section of the license – BUT – (this is the good bit) – the abililty to get said software is only available for the year of the support license.
oh dear

Client now has to pay somebody to code a menu which he has already paid for
Grrrrrrr

Still liking this week though – sent in my tax return and saved over £140 on my AA membership!
