I installed a plugin to combat the spam sent to this blog – It’s been active for 1 day and blocked 98 items of spam.
I never realised we were that popular :idea:

BT have now changed their story – no longer have they said that the SDSL line has been hijacked – now there is an ‘intermittant cable fault’
That apparently translates into “the cable is broken”
Why do they lie? Would it really have been too difficult to say that in the first place?

Those ‘lovely’ people over at BT have decided to screw up again.
They have nicked an SDSL connection of one of my clients, and shoved on voice calls on to the same line.
Resulting in constant disconnections
***at this point Simon is swearing profusely***

Bloomin suppliers!
Ordered a bit of kit on Monday – at the time it was in stock – a UPS to fix a specific problem, causing our client mucho paino.
“Delivery will be on Wednesday”
Tuesday evening rolls along and Tor wants to add to the order for delivery the next day…
“The UPS you ordered will be delivered on Thursday, it hasn’t been picked yet as we are out of stock”
What?????
Everything arranged and boom – one simple statement screws the whole damn thing.
The upshot is Tor is currently driving down to Leicester to pick up the UPS.
Grrrr….

So this time I have a long term client with a simple request – get him a PC with a good specification, for general use and games.
No problem you might think…
Core 2 duo, 2Gb Ram, 300Gb hard drive, stonking video & sound cards etc etc… WEBCAM
Ah, the final killer, the webcam.
So we go to a supplier with the above spec (actually much more detailed but you get the gist).
Product ordered
Install day – the effin webcam is not compatible with Vista – blue screen time
Swapped for the Creative Labs ‘Vista’ webcam – also not compatible with Vista!!!
3rd attempt with a Logitech – Success!!! :)
The supplier “checked on Google” to see if it was compatible!!!
Grrrr…

Still – typical I suppose
