My arms still ache from yesterday

Tor was out at a networking event today – one of the Macmillan Charity Coffee Mornings (though this one was in the afternoon and Tor doesn’t drink coffee )

Networking (meeting your potential customers for breakfast/lunch/coffee etc) is our only form of advertising and the only one we have found works for us.
Our main product is essentially us, so this seems to work :)

It takes a long time for something to come back from them though – they are quite the long term investment…

Being a true techie, of course, I hate them! :oops:

Today I had to collect an old server from a client for scrapping.
This thing was sooo heavy!
It probably should have been a two man lift - but was mainly a one man, with help from one woman, lift.
Finally it was manhandled into our office

It took me about 30 minutes to rest and catch my breath
Tor assisted recovery with a cuppa tea and 3x Peanut M&Ms.

I am too unfit

Sometimes it’s nice to be thanked…

Went to the local superstore for a little food (occasionally even us techies have to venture out into the public arena).
Shopped for a while…
Paid at the checkout (thought that i could have made it if I made a dash for it but my GF convinced me otherwise )
Took shopping to the car
Pushed trolley to the trolley park
Noticed somebodies handbag hanging off the back of a trolley!!
Handed it into the customer services (they opened it and found house keys, purse, mobile – basically somebodies life!!)
Felt like we’d helped a random stranger – :idea:

Phone call this morning – apparently I’m somebodies “favourite person in all the world!!”
It made me feel happy
