So we (Tor and I) were at a clients, and Tor glances across the office to the desk of one of the girls, who had spread all her documentation across the huge desk and the floor etc…
Tor: “Wow, are you expanding?”
Client: “Yeah, its the buttons on this blouse and I think I’ve put weight on!!!!!”
Tor: “NO!!!!! I meant the filing!!!”
Oh how I did laugh!
Just glad I didn’t say anything – Tor was soooo embarrassed :oops:

On the wrist front – I have now to go for a bone scan to find out what is wrong with it. Injected with radio-active goo and photographed to see what’s what; Great!
Looks like parts of me will glow and have a half life of 360 years!
Where’s Hans Geiger when you need to count some rads??

Also found out that one of our clients is in hospital – Get well soon!!

Tor’s back today – whoop

There was much she wanted to catch up on BUT, paid work intervened!

Sadly she spent the lion’s share of the day running us both about to do some of the things missed last week.

Visited a client ’bout a new web project (school uniforms yum yum! )
Installed some memory in a server (actually Tor did – I have NO manual dexterity)
Fixed a spy ware/malware issue
Installed Office 2007 on to a laptop.

Got back in time for tea

I’m typing this one handed, thanks to the huge gauntlet I have for restricting my wrist movements. Thank goodness for spell checking!

Tor’s son Tom thought it was a good idea to shove a baked bean up his nose last week – probably decided to save it for later! His dad IS Scottish after all
Apparently him sneezing later was most amusing…

This bloomin’ wrist hurts – AND it makes typing and stuff very difficult.
It’s annoying me more than the pain at the moment!
It’s amazing to realise just what your left hand does during a day (I’m ambidextrous so it gets more work than most, as I’m realising)

I have had some time on my hands this week – having put off as much as I can whilst I convalesce.
I’ve been looking over our internal stuff and found a few inconsistencies with the paperwork (we shifted our email domain and some paperwork has the old details on it), and missing items on this Blog
I ommitted the search form and the ability to add comments

Idiot!

Having had another sleepless night with this wrist, I’m too tired (and brain fried) to have a go now but I’ll brave the terrors of ‘one fingered typing’ for you, dear reader

Bedtime – lets hope I get some sleep this time!

I think I have broken my wrist!

The hospital aren’t sure so they’ve splinted me and told me to come back in 10 days.
Apparently the bone I’ve hit doesn’t show up too well in x rays – 10 days will sort it out! (if it still hurts it’s probably broken…)

Effin BT have cut off another client!!
Actually it’s more accurate to say they have cut off a client FOR THE SECOND TIME!
The client was ‘Case 1′ on this post - the solution of the landlords broadband being borrowed has just been cut off.
I’m starting not to be surprised at what BT are capable of – is that a bad sign?

Tor’s got next week off – lets see if I can survive!
